Andrew Jacob is an award winning business innovator and the CEO of DotCom Magazine. Andrew Jacob has a vast experience of founding and leading startups. With a big number of 30 years, Andrew has been doing exceptional in many fields of life.

TheDiArc Magazine has recently interviewed Mr. Andrew Jacob for its July 2022 Edition. The Interview Q&A session is given below.
TheDiArc Magazine: How do you introduce yourself?
Andrew Jacob: I introduce myself as the husband of Kristin…ha! My professional life has been built on one overriding principle: Do the right thing, every time, all the time…even when no one is looking. At my media company, DotCom Magazine, everything we do is focused on doing the right thing for our clients.
On the DotCom Magazine Entrepreneur Spotlight Series, I have been fortunate to interview so many worldwide leading experts in their respective fields. The best of the best entrepreneurs that I have interviewed on the show expect that we do the right thing to get them the coverage they deserve. That’s why our interview series has taken off. They know they can count on us to get things done right.
TheDiArc Magazine: How was the transition from your childhood into adulthood/teenage?
Andrew Jacob: My childhood and teenage years were built around playing sports and competing to win. My adult business life has been built around competing and playing to win as well. The only difference is that as an adult I am competing against myself from the moment I get up in the morning to the moment I go to bed!
TheDiArc Magazine: What hardships you have faced in your life?
Andrew Jacob: Everybody faces challenges. It’s the way you look at them that makes all the difference.
“As an entrepreneur, if you don’t have challenges then you are not pushing hard enough.”
Andrew Jacob – CEO DotCom Magazine
I look at struggles and hardships as opportunities. I know there is a higher authority and place my belief in that power. Just remember that anything that comes your way, compared to the death of a loved one, is a piece of cake. So, the bottom line is wake up, say your blessings before you get out of bed, and go!
TheDiArc Magazine: How did you find the idea of DotCom Magazine, and your motivation behind the idea/business?
Andrew Jacob: I sold one of my companies and was taking a break for a second. My wife told me that I better get back to work, or she was going to toss me off the 18th floor of our building. Obviously, I’m not very good at doing nothing! It was at that moment that I discovered that so many amazing entrepreneurs were not getting the media coverage that they deserved. I decided to do something about that, and the rest is history!
TheDiArc Magazine: What made you different from your competitors in the industry and life?
Andrew Jacob: At my age, I get it. It’s really nothing more than believing in constant and never-ending improvement. When you get complacent, things start to tumble. I have friends that are retiring. I don’t think I ever will. I find business and entrepreneurship too exciting. What makes DotCom Magazine different is our passion to get our clients the online and offline coverage that their business deserves!
TheDiArc Magazine: Family & Affections – What about your family, friends and loved one?
Andrew Jacob: Kristin is my remarkable wife of 20 years. I have childhood friends, adult friends, and new friends that I love. Friendship is one of the beautiful fabrics of life that weaves a perfect life tapestry. My wife and I have a special place in our hearts for animals as well.
TheDiArc Magazine: What is your biggest lesson learned in your life?
Andrew Jacob: That would take up too many pages to list here.
The biggest lesson that I have learned is that life is very short, and it is much better to have a “Can Do” attitude than a “Can’t Do attitude.’
Andrew Jacob – CEO DotCom Magazine
Also, there are two words that can change anyone’s life immediately. The two words are “Why Not?” When used in a positive situation, “Why Not?” can be the two most powerful words in the world to lead to an interesting and compelling life. Someone asks you to do something fun and educational…say “Why Not?”
TheDiArc Magazine: What is your biggest achievement so far?
Andrew Jacob: Marrying my wife and remaining friends with all of my partners I’ve done business with.
TheDiArc Magazine: What are the major Upcoming Events; Unforgettable Moments that you would like to share?
Andrew Jacob: There are several high-profile entrepreneurs that we are in discussions with to have on The DotCom Magazine Entrepreneur Series. The combined market capitalization of our interviewees is in the billions of dollars, and we are very excited to have such an array of successful leaders coming on the show.
TheDiArc Magazine: Share 3 tips with our readers from your area of expertise?
Andrew Jacobd:
- At the end of the day, an entrepreneur is only as good as his/her team
- As an entrepreneur, everything you do, every single moment of every day, needs to be focused on what will make your client’s lives better
- If you and your company do not have compelling video content, you are unfortunately, irrelevant
TheDiArc Magazine: What kind of people you love to interact with and why?
Andrew Jacob: I operate best with “can do” people. I don’t interact well with people that continually say no, and continually say they can’t do something. Life is filled with people with great “can do’ attitudes, so I choose to seek out those types of people in my life.
TheDiArc Magazine: How do you see your industry doing in 2022?
Andrew Jacob: The media business is a powerful business as it can change the world if it is done right. What the media business must do is to provide a platform for alternative views. If the media industry only gives one viewpoint, then we end up with a boring and non-competitive world. If you haven’t already guessed, I feel that competition is a good thing.
TheDiArc Magazine: Things about you that people are usually unaware of?
Andrew Jacob: I think people always underestimate how many times an entrepreneur has opportunities to learn from their mistakes. I’m no different. I had a college coach once tell me that difference between winning and losing is that the winners learn from there mistakes and the losers keep on making the same mistakes over and over again.
TheDiArc Magazine: How do you monitor the performance of the people that you have to lead?
Andrew Jacob: Three things: Data, Data, and Data.
TheDiArc Magazine: Few words for Christina DiArcangelo and the amazing work she is doing?
Andrew Jacob: I had the opportunity to interview Christina on The DotCom Magazine Entrepreneur Spotlight Series. Christina is the poster child for getting things done, having a positive mental attitude, having a “can do” attitude, and she understands the power of my two favorite words ”…Why Not?”
